WatchDog is a plug-and-play safety accessory for the Emblaser Pro. It combines thermal imaging, intelligent analysis and direct machine control to identify developing fire events and co-ordinate an automatic response.
Designed as part of the machine rather than a collection of external add-ons, WatchDog also monitors for hazardous chlorine fumes that can be produced when prohibited materials are cut.
It sees heat – and understands how it is changing.
WatchDog uses a thermal camera to map heat inside the Emblaser Pro. Unlike an infrared LED or light-based trigger, thermal imaging responds to temperature rather than visible light, so sunlight and changing room brightness do not create the same type of signal.
The patented detection approach combines this heat map with computer vision and a trained neural network. Instead of reacting to one fixed threshold, it considers the apparent severity and progression of an event before deciding whether automatic action is required.
When an event is serious, the whole machine responds.
WatchDog does more than sound an alarm. Direct communication with the Emblaser Pro allows several protective actions to occur as one controlled sequence.
Hazardous-fume monitoring.
Some prohibited materials can release hazardous chlorine fumes when laser cut. WatchDog monitors for these fumes and can warn the operator, adding another layer of protection alongside fire detection. Correct material selection remains essential.
A sealed cartridge, built into the system.
The replaceable CO₂ cartridge remains sealed while WatchDog is on standby. It is pierced only when suppression is activated, helping prevent gradual leakage and avoiding routine replacement.
Purpose-built, not added on.
Conventional add-on systems commonly behave as independent accessories. WatchDog combines sensing, decision-making and machine control as one Emblaser Pro safety system.
Plugs directly into one the Emblaser Pro accessory ports and becomes seamless part of your machine.
